A forward-thinking and creative Primary School in Merton are looking to recruit several SEN Teaching Assistants for ASAP starts. These are long-term SEN Teaching Assistants for the entire academic year.

The headteacher is eager to find passionate graduates, who are keen to gain first-hand SEN experience with mainstream primary school children. He is ideally looking for graduates either with previous SEN experience, in a working or personal environments or with an advanced understanding of SEN.

You will be provided with on-the-job training from day one and will be supported by a dedicated and forward thinking SENCo. You could be supporting the following needs: Autism (ASD) Speech & Language Delay, Dyslexia, ADHD, Behavioural Difficulties, Downs Syndrome and Physical Disabilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· SEN Teaching Assistant

· Supporting a variety of SEN; Autism, SPLD, Dyslexia, ADHD, Behaviour Difficulties, Downs Syndrome, and Physical Disabilities.

· 1:1 and group support – in and out of the classroom

· Working alongside a range of professionals and SENCO

· Attending weekly training sessions

· Excellent pay – PAYE

PERSON SPECIFICATION

· Degree educated

· Strong academics required

· Must have an outgoing, forward-thinking, and creative personality

· You must be willing to learn and get stuck in with multiple roles

· Strong understanding of SEN

· Previous SEN experience in either a working or personal level would be desirable
