Ortus Recruitment are currently seeking for an experienced 1:1 Special Education Needs (SEN) challenging behaviour assistant to join and assist an excellent school in Brixton. Our partner school is a mainstream primary school located in a vibrant location with excellent transportation modes to get to and home from work.

The school is exceptionally well led by the executive headteacher and leadership team. Staff, pupils, and parents are proud to be part of the school. The ideal SEN Challenging Behaviour Assistant should:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN, or a genuine passion
  • Be flexible, proactive and patient
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Be resilient, passionate and driven to go above and beyond for children of all needs
  • Be open to providing personal care
  • Have a Background in Education, Care, Psychology, Physical Education or Drama, as these are very transferable.
  • Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential

This Challenging Behaviour Assistant position is:

  • A Long Term, Full-Time position

  • Pays £75.00 – £90.00 per day (PAYE) based on experience
