Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join a fantastic, mainstream Primary School in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The successful candidate will join the KS2 team to support amongst a Year 4 class as a general Teaching Assistant.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Engage students with the KS2 curriculum and help raise attainment
• Manage behaviour alongside classroom teacher
• Supervise playtime and lunchtime
• Plan, prep and deliver lesson material
• Liaise with parents/carers/SLT
• Assist SEN students when necessary
• Be reliable, flexible and keep excellent time management/attendance
• Have a positive impact on wellbeing and development

Teaching Assistant expectations:

• 3+ months experience working children in KS2
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies
• Strong numeracy/literacy skills
• Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
