The Croydon School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to students with a range of disabilities, including physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.

Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN as directed by the teacher
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons, including adapting materials as needed
• Helping students with personal care and other basic needs as required
• Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Providing emotional support and encouragement to students
• Participating in training and professional development opportunities as required

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in SEN or education
• Experience working with students with SEN in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
