Ortus Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our partnered school based in Streatham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers to deliver high-quality instruction and enhance student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of lessons, including preparing materials and setting up equipment
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, including differentiated instruction and support for English language learners
• Monitor and document student progress, and use data to inform instruction and support
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Assist with the management of the classroom and support for student behaviour

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field
• Proven experience working in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Patience, understanding, and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional qualifications in education or a related field is preferred
