A fantastic and inclusive Primary School in the London Borough of Harrow are looking to recruit a proactive and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support a child who displays challenging behaviour. They are looking for individuals with a passion for aiding in children’s academic, social and emotional development. Individuals with a degree in psychology, childhood studies or another relevant degree or experience working with children with SEN/EBD would be ideal.

Role Details:

• Supporting in Year 1
• Working on a 1:1 basis
• EBD/Challenging Behaviour
• ASAP start
• Long-term + Full-time
• £75-£90 – PAYE
• Situated in Harrow
• Easily accessible – abundance of transport links
• Supportive and motivating staff

Those with the following experience, would be ideal:

• Behaviour mentor
• Sports Coach
• Learning Support Assistant
• Youth Worker
• SEMH/EBD experience

The successful individual will:

• Be assertive, patient and motivating
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Promote positive social, emotional and personal development
• Have experience working with children with SEN
• Have a strong academic background – Level 3 qualified or Degree educated
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Have an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
