Early Years Teaching Assistant | Streatham Hill | £75 – £90 per day PAYE | Immediate Start

Ortus Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our partnered specialist school based in Streatham Hill. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the classroom teacher, working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The role requires a proactive and empathetic approach, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with both the children and their families. This is an immediate start position, and the successful candidate will be required to attend a trial day with the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation
• Provide one-on-one support for children who have SEND
• Help to create and maintain a positive classroom environment
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage pro-social behaviour
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and therapists, to ensure the best outcomes for the children
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the children’s progress and behaviour

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children who have SEND
• CACHE Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to develop and implement behaviour management plans
