Behaviour Mentor

Ortus Recruitment seek for experienced behaviour mentors to support our partnered schools primary phase to support pupil with their progress. Our partnered primary school is OFSTED graded ‘outstanding’ and caters for pupils aged 3-11 years, with some who have SEMH / SEN. An exciting new opportunity is available at our partnered school to work with pupils with SEMH/ special educational needs.

The school is fully resourced and equipped and pupils have been referred from mainstream primary schools due to various needs including behavioural, low numeracy, literacy, speech and language and SEMH. They have wonderful personalities and enjoy the benefit of an engaging, hands-on learning style and adapted curriculum. The school believes that every student can realise their true potential with the right support and teaching. Therefore, it sets high standards for both pupils and staff.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a core subject (Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Drama)
  • Experience working with children in a professional environment.
  • Experience working with SEN (desirable not essential)
  • Able to develop positive relationships.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour.

Please Note: We welcome applicants with degrees beyond this or relevant qualifications for working with children.
