Exciting Opportunity for Teaching Assistant Role to Make a Difference in Children’s Lives
Do you have a desire to kick-start a fulfilling career in education, but feel limited by a lack of qualifications or experience? Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and driven Teaching Assistant to become a role model and mentor to Primary School pupils.
At Ortus Recruitment, we offer a personalised mentoring service that aims to boost pupil attainment. We call these our intervention programmes and each has been expertly designed to help pupils reach their full potential. As a Behaviour Mentor, your key responsibility will be to help challenging students overcome their behavioural issues by offering guidance and support as someone they can look up to.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with pupils and motivate them to achieve their full potential
- Support schools in achieving their targets and obligations by delivering a specialist service
- Act as a confidant and friend to students experiencing behavioural issues
- Encourage pupils to challenge themselves and promote their self-esteem through individual pastoral support

- Degree educated
- Experience in construction, ex-army or police cadets
- Experience in team teaching or youth work
