SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Sutton. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs to help them achieve their full potential and provide the support they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and group support for pupils with SEN, including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
- Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils.
- Assisting the teacher in delivering lessons and adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of individual pupils.
- Helping to monitor the progress of individual pupils and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Supporting pupils with personal care needs, such as toileting and feeding, where required.
- Assisting with classroom management, including the organization of resources and equipment.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs in a teaching assistant or similar role.
- A passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
- An understanding of SEN curriculum and the ability to support pupils in a variety of subjects.
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
