Our school in Sutton is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children and supporting their learning, and will be committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons
• Supporting individual children or small groups with their learning
• Providing pastoral care and emotional support to pupils
• Helping to maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
• Assisting with the preparation of resources and materials for lessons
• Contributing to the assessment and recording of pupils’ progress

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent qualification
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting
• Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• A commitment to ongoing professional development
