Learning Support Assistant (April Start) | Brixton Hill | £80 – £100 PAYE | Full-Time
Ortus Recruitment is seeking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support our partnered mainstream primary school based in the vibrant area of Brixton Hill. The school is a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school and prides itself on providing high-quality education to all students.
The successful candidate will join a team of committed educators who strive to provide the best possible learning experience for all students. This is a perfect opportunity to get in a mainstream primary school setting and gain valuable experience in the education sector.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the classroom teacher in the delivery of lessons and activities
- Providing individual and group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Encouraging and motivating students to engage with their learning
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the classroom teacher
- Collaborating with other members of the school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Promoting the school’s values and ethos
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting
- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children
- A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Drama, or Performing Arts
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential.
- Able to work from Monday – Friday (08:30am – 16:00pm)
This is a full-time position, starting in April. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive daily rate, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.
