Learning Support Assistant (April Start) | Clapham Junction | £80 – £90 PAYE

Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a primary school located in Clapham Junction. The successful candidate will:

• Provide support to a KS2 student with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Join a vibrant and welcoming school that places a strong emphasis on improving the core skills of its students and fostering a supportive environment for staff and pupils alike
• Build positive relationships with students and provide targeted support to those with challenging behaviours
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have prior experience working with SEMH students
• Be familiar with strategies such as PRICE, MAPA, or Team Teach (desirable, but not essential)
• Have a background in Youth Work, Behavioural Support in Education, Social Work, Sports Organizations, or recent graduates in Psychology, Education, English, Maths, or Science
• Be able to commit fully to the role and be flexible with their schedule
• Have confidence in working with autism and be able to adapt quickly to new situations and work collaboratively with colleagues.
