Ortus Recruitment are currently looking for an individual to work in one of our amazing mainstream primary schools located in Sydenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely motivated and supportive staff team. The role is for the remainder of the academic year (July 2023) with the opportunity to return after the summer.

The ideal candidate will be required to support a KS2 class ( ages 7-11)both in the classroom and around the school building which includes lunchtime in the lunch hall and playtime in the playground. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons as well as setting out activities and supporting the pupils in completing the activities. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working 1:1 and in small groups.

• £80 – £90 per day PAYE (No umbrella company fees)

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside pupils in a school or social setting
• The ideal candidate will be able to manage behaviour effectively
• The ideal candidate will be required to have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus recruitment (£52)
• The ideal candidate will have proof of right to work in the UK
• The ideal candidate will be able to provide 2 references
