SEN Teaching Assistant| Richmond| Immediate start| Full time – Long term

A friendly and welcoming school, located in Richmond, are searching for an SEN Teaching Assistant who has a had experience with children with mild autism and speech and language difficulties. If you apply for this role you will be working with student in a classroom, but specifically with a student in a year 2 class, who have speech and language difficulties.

This role will be challenging at times, therefore it is important that you possess the qualities stated below:

  • Resilient – being able to cope with challenging behaviour throughout the day
  • Sensitivity and understanding towards the children’s emotional, social and physical needs.
  • Creativity – find engaging learning activities which will engage the student and help them with their spelling and pronunciation of words.
  • Positive mindset – encouraging the pupils to interact and communicate with their peers.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
