Sen Teaching Assistant role |Barnes| Full time – long term | Immediate start

Ortus recruitment are searching for a motivated teaching assistant with experience in SEN and is committed to helping children progress in their academic studies. The role is full time – long term, and the person applying for this role will be working from 8:30-4pm with an hour lunch break. The school has a friendly environment where the teachers, parents and governors all work together to ensure the children feel safe and enjoy coming to school every day.

What will this role include :

  • Working one to one with students within the classroom and outside the classroom – helping them with their reading writing and numeracy skills.
  • Keeping record of the children’s progress, and highlighting the areas they need to improve on.
  • Encouraging the children’s creative ideas.
  • Supporting the teacher with managing the class behaviour
  • Ensuring the children’s emotional, social and physical needs are met.
