Teaching Assistant (year3/4 class) | Kingston | Full time – long term| Immediate start
Ortus recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, ready to commit to a mainstream primary school, within the Kingston borough, making a positive impact in the students education.
Our partner school, based in Kingston, is a very short work from Kingston station, is Ofsted rated ‘good’, with amazing behaviour across the school and dedicated students. They are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant, who will be specifically working with a year 2/3 class, to join their supportive team.
This small school is very well regarded within the local community and has an amazing SEN team working together with the parents to ensure pupils with learning difficulties are being supported throughout the day. Everyone within the school work together to create a wonderful atmosphere, where the children can flourish in their academic studies.
What will the job role include ?
- Help the class teacher plan and deliver lessons, whilst contributing creative ideas.
- Working with small groups of students who have learning difficulties, whilst promoting independence
- Ensure the students physical, emotional and social welfare is being looked after
- Supporting the class teacher manage the class behaviour
Requirements for this role:
- Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role
- A good understanding of the UK curriculum
- Open to supporting SEN when/if required
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work proactively and independently
