Do you want to make a positive difference in the lives of children ? Ortus Recruitment are looking for a motivated, passionate and committed learning support assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Wimbledon.

As a learning support assistant you will be working 1:1 with students, supporting them with their reading, writing and numeracy skills. You will also be working with children with special educational needs, making sure they feel safe and supported. If you apply for this role, you will be expected to work Monday to Friday, from 8:30am – 4pm, with an hour lunch break.

The successful candidate will have:

• A qualification in Child Development or SEN
• An understanding of the needs of SEN children
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to effectively manage a challenging classroom environment
• Experience of working in a learning support environment
• A good knowledge of safeguarding and other relevant legislation
