KS2 Teaching Assistant | Kingston | Full time – long term| Immediate start
A fantastic school, located in the Kingston borough, are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual who is looking to continue or pursue a career within the education sector, and committed to make a positive change in primary education.
This is a full time – long term role, therefore the individual applying for this role needs to be available Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4pm, with an hour lunch break included in the day. The individual needs to be resilient, have a passion working with children and dedicated, because this role will be challenging but also rewarding. So if you love a challenge and love working with children, this role is definitely for you !
What your job role will include :
- Work closely with class teachers to help pupils to expand their knowledge
- Prepare resources required for learning activities and assist pupils in their use.
- Provide feedback to pupils and teachers on pupil’s achievement, progress and any problems that arise.
- Supervise pupils before school, after school and on school trips.
What skills are required:
- The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills.
- The ability to provide constructive feedback to pupils in a way that reinforces self-esteem, handling complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
- Ability to contribute creative ideas, when helping the teachers plan lessons.
- Ability to be flexible and open to change
