The Job Role:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Pay: £85 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Southwark, Walworth
• Role: Full time, Long term ( Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 16:00)

ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working closely alongside a vibrant Mainstream Primary School located in the London Borough of Southwark, Walworth.

The school are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their wonderful staff team and support a year 4 class.The school are Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and have a new modern building which boasts vast outdoor space for children to play and take movement breaks. The has a vibrant atmosphere and a tight knit staff team. The Senior Leadership Team are motivating and dedicated to upskilling the successful candidate with CPD courses and Teacher Training.

Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a small group of SEN pupils within a Year 4 class alongside the Class Teacher and other Support staff (TA’s) in the classroom. You will liaise with the class teacher to prepare differentiated work that suits the individual learners needs. You will be working alongside pupils with ASD and SLD.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have experience working alongside children with SEN, ideally ASD and SLD (desirable, not essential).
• Will have a calm and nurturing nature.
• Will be passionate about working with children and dedicated  to giving them the best possible start to life.
• Will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent
• Will have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
