Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in the Kingston borough and they are looking for a dedicated candidate to commit to a full time – long term role as a EYFS/Reception Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong academic background and a caring approach towards children.

This is a full time – long term role, 8:30am-4pm, with an hour lunch break, therefore the individual applying for this role needs to have this availability. The school is well regarded within the Kingston borough, and has children from various backgrounds attending. Each student is treated the same and given equal opportunities. They have an amazing SEN team on board, where the teachers always put the children’s needs first before anything. The school want someone who can maintain this environment and able to be resilient throughout the day.

Within this role you will be responsible for ensuring the children stay on task and help the class teacher manage the class behaviour. You will also be responsible for making sure the children’s physical, social and emotional needs are being met throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate will have a fully enhanced DBS or willing to process through Ortus Recruitment. You will also need a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, to ensure you are helping the children reach their full potential.
