 The Job Role:

• Position: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £100 per day
• Location: Walworth
• Role: Full time, Long term

Main responsibilities:

• You will be required to help the teacher manage behaviour within the classroom by supervising students and maintaining a safe learning environment
• You may be required to work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to help develop academic attainment levels
• You will be required to work alongside the class teacher and liaise with the support staff and parents/carers to ensure pupils are getting the necessary support
• You will be required to supervise the pupils around the school building, in corridors, in the lunch hall and in the playground
• You will be required to undertake administrative duties such as preparing and setting out classwork, photocopying/laminating worksheets and marking work/homework

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have experience working alongside children in a care, school, residential or social setting
• The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, educated to a minimum degree level or equivalent
• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• A basic understanding of Math, Reading and Writing is essential
• The ideal candidate must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
