Teaching Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to student learning and has the skills and determination to make a significant difference in the lives of students. Our new partner primary school’s single goal is to put “Students First,” and we are looking for someone who shares this vision.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in the classroom and in small groups to help them achieve their learning goals
- Providing practical assistance to students, including those with special educational needs
- Working with the class teacher to plan and deliver lessons that meet the individual needs of students
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
- Supporting the class teacher with administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a primary school
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of child development and learning
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other teaching assistants, and parents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
- Available to work full time (Monday – Friday, 08:30am – 16:00pm)
