A mainstream primary school, located in the Merton borough, are looking for a motivated SEN Teaching assistant, who is ready to commit to a full time – long term role, helping SEN children in their academic studies. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children in a professional setting and a strong understanding of SEN.

The role :

• Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location : Colliers Wood
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm (hour lunch)
• £80-£90 PAYE

Within this role you will be working with a year 3 class, specifically children with SEN, supporting them with the numeracy and literacy skills, while promoting independent learning. You will also be responsible for ensuring the pupils stay on task during lessons, and breaking down information that they are having difficulty understanding. Not only will you be supporting them within a classroom but at break and lunch, providing emotional support for them and meeting their emotional, social and physical needs.
