Ortus Recruitment are currently working alongside a highly regarded mainstream primary school in Putney, who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a background in working with primary-aged children who have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This school has received an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, boasting a team of exceptional teaching staff and a supportive Senior Leadership Team, committed to providing the best educational experience for their pupils.

The successful candidate will have:

• A creative and dynamic approach to teaching and learning
• The ability to work effectively within a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication abilities
• Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting, or within alternative settings such as youth clubs, private nannying, sports coaching, voluntary work, childminding or tutoring.

Applicants should hold:

• A relevant degree in subjects such as English, Psychology, Performing Arts, Maths, Science or similar, however we welcome candidates with other degrees and relevant qualifications for working with children.
