This school prioritise wellbeing for staff members and hold weekly wellbeing meetings as well as well as termly trips for staff. The school are seeking someone who will be able to support learners in year 5, working 1:1 and in small groups, leading subject specific interventions to raise academic attainment levels.

The Job Role:

• Role: Full Time, Long Term, Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00

We are seeking a Graduate who has a strong academic background in core subjects as well as a childcare related degree or qualification. The successful candidate doesn’t need school based experience but must have experience working alongside children and vulnerable adults/young people in a care or social setting. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about working alongside children and would like to pursue a rewarding career in education. You must be patient and resilient within this role as it can be challenging and no two day are the same. We need someone who can follow instructions effectively and also be able to work off of their own initiative.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A CLEAR ENHANCED DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE OR BE WILLING TO PROCESS ONE THROUGH ORTUS RECRUITMENT (£52).

Within this role, your main responsibilities will be to assist the Class Teacher in supporting a year 5 class. Your main role will be a general Classroom Assistant, undertaking administrative duties such as marking classwork/homework, helping the class teacher prepare work for lessons, photocopying and laminating worksheets. The ideal candidate will also be confident in leading 1:1 and small group subject specific interventions with learners who need additional support. You will be required to liaise with the class teacher and parents/carers to provide feedback, pupil progress and to ensure the pupils are getting the necessary support.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO FULL TIME, LONG TERM WORK. MONDAY – FRIDAY, 08:30 – 16:00.
