Ortus Recruitment are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and has high aspirations for students. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join our partnered mainstream primary school based in Wandsworth. The school has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report and you will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and welfare of students. You will work under the direction of the class teacher, providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special educational needs.

Daily Tasks Will Involve:

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons that meet the individual needs of students
• Providing practical assistance to pupil in the classroom and in small groups
• Working with students who have special educational needs, including those with statements of special educational needs
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher

Requirements:

• Recent Graduate (desirable not essential)
• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of child development and learning principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other teaching assistants, and parents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and use initiative
• Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable not essential)
• Available Full Time (Monday – Friday, 08:30am – 16:00pm)
