A mainstream primary school located in Colliers Wood are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role, from 8:30am-4:00pm with an hour lunch break. The ideal candidate should have a years’ experience working with children in a professional setting, and full time availability.

The role

• Position: Teaching Assistant

• Immediate start
• 8:30am-4:00pm (hour lunch break)

Within this role, the main responsibilities will be to work alongside the Class Teacher and support a Year 2 class. You will be required to work 1:1 and in small groups with learners, helping to raise their academic attainment level and develop social and emotional skills. These interventions will be subject specific and you will be required to work alongside the class teacher in ensuring all the work is differentiated and suits each individual learners needs. You will be responsible for providing feedback to the parents/carers about their child’s day and if there is any positive pupil progress. You will be responsible for supervising pupils in class and around the school building, including in the lunch hall and playground.
