Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Hampton Wick and they are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role, making a positive change in primary education.

The role :

• Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location : Hampton Wick
• Immediate start
• Full time – long term
• 8:30am-4:00pm

Within this role you will be working with a year 3 student with mild autism, supporting them inside and outside the classroom. You will be ensuring that the pupil is staying focused during lessons and breaking the lesson down to make it easier for them to understand. You will be responsible for ensuring the child is safe throughout the school day by following health and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have more than a years’ experience working with children in a professional setting, specifically SEN. You should also have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations seen as each day will be a challenge but also very rewarding !
