Learning Support Assistant | Teddington| Full time – long term | Immediate start
Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in the Teddington area and they are recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with children with SEMH. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children in a professional setting, specifically children with challenging behaviour and SEN.
As a learning support assistant you will be working 1:1 or in small groups of children helping them stay focused in class and supporting them with their numeracy, literacy and reading skills. You will also be responsible for following health and safety procedures ensuring the pupils feel safe inside the classroom and at break and lunch. This role is very challenging but also rewarding at the same time, therefore if you love a challenge and passionate about helping children then start applying now !
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, psychology, or social work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for working with children or young adults and helping them achieve their full potential
