Looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children but don’t have the qualifications or experience to start your career in education? Look no further than Ortus Recruitment, where we are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join us as a Behavior Mentor in Brentford.
As a Behavior Mentor, you will be providing personalized mentoring services to help schools increase pupil attainment through our intervention programs. Your role will be pivotal in helping challenging students overcome their behavioral issues by being a positive role model and providing them with someone to confide in and trust.
You will be responsible for:
- Building productive relationships with your key pupils and encouraging and motivating them.
- Raising achievement by providing a specialist service that assists schools in meeting their targets and obligations.
- Being a friend and confidant to a student with behavioral issues.
- Challenging and motivating pupils, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem and providing individual pastoral support.
This is an excellent opportunity for career progression and to gain experience before pursuing a PGCE. You will also have the opportunity to be an inspirational role model and mentor to a disadvantaged young person. At Ortus Recruitment, we offer continuing professional development courses such as Team Teach, so you can continue to grow and develop your skills.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. A degree in education is highly desirable, but we also welcome applicants with backgrounds in sports coaching, ex-army, police cadets, youth work, or those who hold Team Teach qualifications.
If you’re ready to kickstart your career in education and work in a stimulating and rewarding environment, please apply today with your full CV. With a pay rate of £80-£95, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
