Here at Ortus Recruitment we have an amazing and unique opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher. This role is a Temp to Perm role, with your performance being observed for a term, before being offered a contract if the feedback is positive.

The Job Information:

• Position: SEN Teacher
• Pay: £200 – £240 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Lewisham, Brockley
• Role: Full time, Long term (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)

Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for joining a SEN Provision, as a Class Teacher to work alongside the support staff and create an engaging learning environment for pupils. You will be required to follow a semi formal curriculum, which will have adapted lesson plans for core subjects, with activities such as enrichment, music/art therapy and sensory activities being incorporated into daily timetables. You will be responsible for liaising with the professionals in school (Therapists and Pastoral Assistants) and providing feedback to parents/carers about the pupils academic and behavioural progress.

The requirements:

• Must have a teaching qualification – QTS or equivalent
• Must have experience working alongside children in a school setting
• Experience working with SEN learners is essential
• Must be able to work full time, long term
• Must be able to start immediately
• Must be able to easily build a positive rapport with students and staff
