KS2 Behaviour Mentor
Ortus recruitment is excited to announce that our client mainstream primary school based in Vauxhall have a new opening for an experienced behaviour mentor to support with behaviour management in a year 6 class. Our partnered school is a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school with great facilities and has very great transportation links. This position will be starting in September and the school will be trialling candidates over the next few weeks to assess who will be the perfect fit for the next academic year. If you believe you have the experience required for working with pupil in Key Stage 2 and consider yourself to be a positive role model, this is an amazing opportunity to get a position where you will be a valuable member of staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supporting challenging behaviour within an educational setting.
- Ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students.
- Strong behaviour management skills and knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Available Full Time (Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 16:00pm)
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and mentoring to pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Implement individualized behaviour management plans.
- Promote social and emotional development through positive reinforcement.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the school and parents/guardians.
