ASC Teaching Assistant | Croydon

Ortus Recruitment are working closely with our partner primary school in Croydon, who are actively looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support two pupils with Autism, on a long-term, full-time basis come September.

This school is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic person to come in and support two pupils on a 1:2 basis on a Year 2 Class. Your duties will include working closely with pupils inside the class, as well as carrying out activities in line with the curriculum outside the classroom.

As an ASC Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Develop and prepare visual materials for therapy and classroom sessions

• Support pupils with ASC and additional needs

• Carrying out general Teaching Assistant responsibilities in amongst your role

• Work under supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers

• Provide effective support to less experienced colleagues, modelling good practice

• Opportunity to work alongside a psychologist

• £80-£95 per day PAYE

• Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4pm
