Ortus recruitment seeks for a skilled behaviour mentor to support our partnered mainstream primary school with behaviour management in a Year 3 class. This school is a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated 2-form entry school, with multiple transportation links and it is based in a vibrant location. The Role:

This position will entail working with pupil in a Year 3 class, who tend to not focus whilst the lesson is delivered. You will work closely with the Class Teacher to build and implement strategies to improve class behaviour, as well as assisting with preparation of activities, assisting students with their reading, English and Maths.

Overview:

• Behaviour Mentor
• Monday to Friday (No Weekends)
• Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:00 (6.5 hrs / 30 minutes break)
• Supporting Year 3 Class (KS2)
• Immediate/September Start

Requirements:

• Graduate of a core subject (Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Drama etc) or holds a CACHE Level 2 or 3
• Experience working with children in a professional environment.
• Able to develop positive relationships.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills.
• MAPA/ Team Teach/ PRICE (desirable, not essential)
• Able to stay calm and objective
• Genuine passion for working with vulnerable pupil
