Ortus Recruitment are seeking to recruit an energetic Teaching Assistant to join our partnered mainstream primary school’s dedicated team. You will need to be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and committed to providing them with the best educational support possible. You will be working in close partnership with teachers, other teaching assistants and parents.

The School

Our client school is an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated school for students aged 4-11. Our partnered school is part of a prestigious academy trust, a unique group of schools. We work closely with the other schools in the group and believe in their approach of ‘thinking differently’ and being as creative as possible in teaching.

• Working hours: 8.30 – 16.00, Monday to Friday
• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Start date: September 2023

Responsibilities

• To assist teaching staff to plan and prepare lessons and resources within the school curriculum.
• To make and prepare resources for teaching staff.
• To reinforce targets throughout the school day.
• To support students both within the class and during unstructured situations.
• To follow school procedures in reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns.
• To act as a resource and support for other staff members working with the children.
• To participate in supervision and support as required.
• To maintain continuous professional development.
