Ortus Recruitment are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in Merton and they are recruiting a enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is ready to commit to a full time – long term role. The candidate should have more than a years’ experience working with children in a professional setting and is passionate about making a positive difference in their education.

The Responsibilities:

• Helping the class teacher plan, prepare and deliver lessons
• Setting up equipment ready for lessons and tidying the classroom to ensure a safe and clean environment for the students
• Forming close bonds with the students’ and teachers.
• Provide emotional support for students, meeting their emotional, social and physical needs.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Reliable, flexible and proactive
• A passion for helping and caring for children
• SEN knowledge/experience
