Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school located in Hampton Wick and they are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. The candidate applying for this role needs more than a years’ experience working with children, specifically challenging behaviour.

Within this role you will be working 1:1 or in small groups of students, who have learning difficulties and challenging behaviour, supporting them within the classroom and breaking down the lesson in a way they are able to understand. You will also be supporting the students at break and lunch as well, ensuring their emotional, social and physical needs are being met.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• A passion for caring for children
• A strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
• Compassionate and nurturing approach to children
