The role:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Teddington
• Full time-long term
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• PAYE (£80-£90)

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with learning materials
• Create a productive and stimulant learning environment by adapting different methods of teaching
• Prioritise and maintain the students social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Work 1:1 or group setting with students that have Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities
• Adopt different methods of teaching by using all school facilities tailored for mentally and physically

The ideal candidate:

• A fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Nurturing and caring approach towards children
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• Experience working with SEN
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum
