The school is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and they have managed to maintain that rating through two different observations. The school is located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Bellingham. This school is in close proximity to a number of bus stops and a popular London Underground Train Station, making commuting fairly easy.

The Job Summary:

• Pay: £85 – £95 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Requirements:

• You must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• You must have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
• You must be able to commit to full time, long term work
• You must have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• You must be patient and resilient, as well as being able to display quick and effective problem solving skills
• You need to be passionate about working with children and dedicated to aiding their academic and behavioural development

Within this role, your main responsibility will be to be a General Teaching Assistant supporting a Year 4 class, assisting the Class Teacher in preparing and delivering activities to pupils. You will need to supervise the children in the classroom and around the school building, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. You will be responsible for escorting the pupils to the lunchroom, playground and back to class, promoting calm behaviour whilst manoeuvring around the school building.
