The Job Summary:

• Start Date: September 2023 ongoing
• Pay: £85 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an eager and enthusiastic candidate to join one of our Mainstream Primary Schools as an Unqualified Classroom Assistant. You will be required to work in a Resource Based Year 4 Class and you will be responsible for assisting the Class Teacher and other support staff in helping manage the behaviour and to encourage a positive attitude to learning.

Must have:

• Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
• You must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• You have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references

Requirements for this role:

• You must have experience working alongside SEN Learners in a care, residential, school or social (coaching, nannying, tutoring)
• You must have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• Must have a strong academic background
• Must be able to follow instructions and be able to work on your own initiative
• You must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Hither Green
• You must be able to commit to full time, long term work from September 2023 onwards

Main Responsibilities within this role:

Within this role, you will be required to assist the Class Teacher and other support staff within this classroom in managing behaviour and encouraging a good attitude to learning. You will need to undertake administrative duties which include tidying the classroom, preparing and handing out classwork, and marking classwork/homework. You will need to liaise with the Class Teacher, SENCO and the Parents/Carers to provide feedback on pupils’ progress, both academically and behaviourally.
