Job Summary:

• Start Date: September 2023 ongoing
• Pay: £80 – £95 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join one of our vibrant Mainstream Primary Schools on a full time, long term basis. The role starts in September and is ongoing throughout the academic year (dependent on performance). The school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and they pride themselves on the positive working relationship amongst staff as well as providing a diverse and inclusive learning environment for pupils.

Must have:

• An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math

Requirements:

• You need to have experience working alongside children in a care, residential, school or social setting (coaching nannying, tutoring)
• You will need to be passionate about working with children and dedicated in helping develop their academic attainment level
• You will need to have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• You need to be able to easily build a positive rapport with both staff and students

Key Responsibilities:

Within this role, you will be required to work alongside the Class Teacher and provide both 1:1 and small group assistance to the learners who need additional support. You will be required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times, as well as undertaking administrative duties, such as marking classwork/homework and updating/removing display boards.
