SEN Teaching Assistant.
Location: Kingston
Ortus recruitment are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to work inside one of our amazing SEN schools. The school is looking for a very hard working induvial who is trying to learn and adapt to their children’s needs. You’ll be working inside a classroom environment dedicating your time to 1:1 learning and group activities, the children you’re working with will have moderate learning difficulties (MLD) so require additional support in their learning.
The school.
This school is located in the heart of Kingston, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, they’re very good with the children and are looking for somebody to join their team and help them along the way. The staff always put the children first and provide them with the best learning experience they can, the staff have now become apart of the children’s daily schedule so you will need to build a strong relationship with the children. This school also has great resources to help support the children they’re working with, you’ll be able to provide the children with some brilliant learning activities.
The position.
The successful candidate will be working from 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. This is a full-time, long-term vacancy. As mentioned, you’ll be working both 1:1 and in groups with the children.
Skills you will need:
• An understanding of SEN children.
•To be friendly and approachable.
• To be able to build a bond/relationship with the children.
• Patience when working with the children.
• The ability to adapt to a new environment.
• To be able to involve yourself in both group and induvial work.
The children
In this role you’ll be working with children who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) this ranges from Down’s Syndrome, Autism (ASC/ASD) and Global Delay (along with many others).
Job Details
• Salary – £85-£95 per day, paid weekly.
Schedule:
• Monday to Fridays
• No weekends
