Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential. This role will involve working closely with our experienced teaching staff and SENCO to provide tailored support and assistance to students with various needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can participate fully in school activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to assess students’ progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
  • Help students develop their social and emotional skills and build their self-confidence.
  • Provide assistance with personal care and mobility for students with physical disabilities, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting students with SEN are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
