Position Overview: As a Primary School Learning Mentor, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive school environment. Your primary responsibility will be to support students in their social and emotional development, helping them overcome any barriers to learning. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions
• Develop and implement strategies to address students’ social and emotional needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular reports to the school leadership team.
• Collaborate closely with teachers to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Foster positive behaviour and provide conflict resolution support to students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or related fields.
• Prior experience working with primary school students is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and patience, along with a sincere passion for supporting young learners.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
