Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in New Malden and they are seeking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who will commit to a full time – long term role. This role is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm and it is a full time – long term role meaning you will be working throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities:

• You will need to adapt teaching support according to student’s needs.
•  You will be responsible for look after children’s social and emotional welfare.
• You will help in creating a safe learning environment for pupil.
• Help children to understand instructions
• Motivate pupils to reach their full potential

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEN children, specifically primary school ages
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Excellent communication skills
• Qualifications to GCSE Level standard or equivalent
•  Knowledge and understanding of pupils with social and emotional difficulties that may impact upon their behaviour
