1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Croydon

Ortus recruitment are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work inside a Special Education Needs (SEN) School. This school is located in the heart of Croydon with lots of good transportation links, both bus and train. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring teachers who are looking to expand their skill-set in a new environment, you’ll be working with children who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) this means they’ll have difficulties such as Autism (ASC/ADC), Global Delay, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome and many more.

The successful candidate will….

• Have a good understanding of children with learning difficulties.
• Be able to adapt to a new environment.
• The ability to work with children in both 1:1 and group environments.
• Have a calm and approachable nature.
• Support the teacher in creating new and creative activities for the children.
• Be able to monitor pupils progress and create a strong relationship with the parents to see if your teaching is having a positive impact.
• Have experienced or worked with children with Learning Difficulties before.
• Willing to learn and improve.

Job Details.

We’re looking for a passionate induvial who is ready to take on Full-time, long term work inside education. Looking at previous reviews, this school is a really nice place to work in and will be easy to create relationships with the staff.

Schedule.

• Working days: Monday-Friday, no weekends.
• Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm.
