Position Overview: As a Teaching Assistant within a PRU, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to students who may face various challenges. Your role will involve working closely with classroom teachers and other staff members to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. You will help students overcome obstacles and achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering tailored educational programs.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs.
• Assist in classroom management and behavior support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and adapt teaching resources.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably within a PRU.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and patience when working with students facing challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
• Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Teaching Assistant qualification) is a plus.
