Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school situated in Kingston who are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team to support Year 1 class. This role is temp-perm for the right candidate.

The role:

• Supporting students in year 1 to overcome barriers
• Working with the teaching staff to develop appropriate resources to support the learning of specific students.
• Working 1:1 or in small groups with students
• Supporting students to follow high behaviour expectations

Skills and requirements

• Good understanding of children with Learning Difficulties.
• Strong ability to adapt to new environments.
• Have a friendly and approachable nature.
• Brilliant problem solving skills.
• Great communication skills.
• Be able to interact with children who have learning difficulties.
