Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Surbiton an they are on the hunt for a experienced Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children in a professional setting, specifically a school setting.

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

• Support class teacher with the planning, delivery and execution of lessons
• Support pupils with low attainment or additional needs
• Maintain an engaging and safe learning environment
• Lead interventions and booster sessions to raise attainment

Primary Teaching Assistant requirements:

• Enthusiasm for working with children
• Degree or Level 3 qualification
• Prior experience working with children (desirable)
• Strong Literacy and Maths skills
• Available full-time Mon – Fri, 8.30 – 4.00pm
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service / willing to apply for a new one
